Today we kick off talks between ArchiCAD users and educational institutions in KZN. Representatives from Durban institutions DUT and UKZN will hear demands straight from ArchiCAD users.
Clients need skilled staff and students are deprived of ArchiCAD education at tertiary level, this impacts greatly on decreased productivity once students are employed in the workplace.
Universities must not rule in favour of a specific BIM application as students should be offered equal opportunities and allowed make use the software of their preference.
As we take on this burning issue we call upon our clients to assist our efforts; decision makers at educational institutions throughout South Africa will only take our suggestions under consideration once they understand the requirement in industry.
With our commitment to education we also aim to provide internship programs for participating schools in 2014.
Similar talks will be held in Johannesburg and Cape Town is a few weeks. Please email Mineshree for details on how to participate.
